Fra neste sommer blir det kanskje enklere for vestlendingene å ta med seg MG'ene sine til Storbritannia.
Både Stavanger Aftenblad og Bergens Tidende melder i dag 7 november at et nytt rederi, Norwegian Seaways, vil ha to seilinger ukentlig fra Stavanger og Bergen til Newcastle. Det betyr at en rute med 130 års tradisjon igjen kommer i drift. Det er likevel ikke klart når dette eventuelt blir iverksatt. Meldingene om oppstart allerede fra april 2014 viser seg ikke å være riktige.

The Stavanger Aftenblad and Bergens Tidende reported today November 7th that a new shipping line, Norwegian Seaways, will have two weekly sailings from Stavanger and Bergen to Newcastle. This means that a route with 130 years of tradition may restart again. It is not clear when this may happen. The rumours of startup as early as April 2014 turned out to be incorrect.
Under surfing på nettet kom jeg over en video av restaurering av en TC her i Norge. Jeg kontaktet eier og han deler gjerne videoen med oss. Se hvordan bildene av bilen lyver om tilstanden før Jan-Vidar begynner å plukke på den. Jan-Vidar Berge holder også på med en "bolt and nuts" restaurering av en MG TA 1937 modell som han også lover å dele med oss. Link til videoen
While surfing the Internet I came across a video from the restoration of a TC previously unknown to the MG Register in Norway. I contacted the owner and, it turned out he is happy to share the video with us. Pay close attention and see how the pictures lie about the condition of the car, until Jan-Vidar starts to pull it apart. In addition to the TC work, Jan-Vidar Berge is also busy with a "nuts and bolts" restoration of a 1937 MG TA, and he has promised to share his experiences with us. Link to the video
Mandag 4 november ble det avholdt medlemsmøte i Bergen Senter, som vanlig i Bergen Tekniske Museum. 13 personer var til stede, inklusive medlem nr 1, Halvor Asland, som igjen var på besøk i Bergen.
Blant flere viktige saker som ble diskutert, var planene om klubbhus i Arna Industrihus i Ytre Arna.
