Bergen logo4 128Our profile:
Bergen Centre is an integral part of MG Car Club Norway. We are a democratically organised and run, with unpaid officials electec by the members. The activities in the Centre are decided and run non-profit by it's members.

Aim:
Our objective is to create an active local and regional forum for those who own, or are interested in, MG cars. Although the main activities take place in the city of Bergen, we want everyone from western Norway to be able to feel at home in the club.

We have mermbers' meetings at regular intervals, normally the first monday of every month, with social as well as technical activities. Our current venue is at the Technical Museum of Bergen, where we gather outside the driving season.

In addition to the regular members' meetings, we also have monthly Garage Nights where we do our best to get our hands dirty. Currently, the main activity is rebuild of a B-series engine.

In the driving season, between May and September, we are regularly out on minor drives in the vicinity of Bergen. We also try to organise one substantial trip, with 2-3 overnight stops, every summer. Even if we could go further on these trips, we still tend to remain in the western part of Norway. Some years we go north and explore the counties of Sogn og Fjordane and even Møre og Romsdal. Other years we explore the district og Hardanger in our own county of Hordaland. The plans for 2014 seem to focus on a northerly path again.

One of our most important objectives is to facilitate contact between our members and thereby help them help each other with service, maintenance and technical challenges.
