Rogaland Centre invites members to join us on our summer drive, the Ryfylke Orbital. Once again we focus on the transformation from the fjord landscape to the mountains. We've done it before, and can be found on the net. This drive was also the background for the TV programme. Link to the trip report on this website here.
We've managed to pre-book a number of rooms at the Ryfylke Fjordhotel, ideally located on the Sandsfjord. Two people in a double room, including breakfast and dinner, is NOK 1900,-
The event is Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 of August. Since we drive a northerly route, it should be of particular interest to our neighbouring centre to the north, Bergen Centre. We suggest Knapphus as a practical rendezvous point - where E39 meets E134 going east.
Not far after the rendezvous, we leave the main roads en route to Sandeid, Vikedal and Sand and spend the night at Ryfylke Fjordhotel.
Sunday morning, we ascend to Gullingen before driving into the mountain terrain to Blåsjø. On coming back, we say goodbye to our guest cars before returning home via Hjelmeland.
